Background
Dr. Lisa (Schile) Beers is a Senior Scientist in the Resilient Landscapes Program at SFEI. She is a Lead Scientist for the San Francisco Bay Wetlands Regional Monitoring Program. Lisa is a tidal wetland ecologist, focusing on vegetation dynamics, carbon sequestration, biogeochemistry, climate change impacts, and greenhouse gas inventories. She has 25 years of experience working in tidal wetlands in San Francisco Bay, throughout the United States, and 13 countries. Prior to joining SFEI, Lisa was the source lead for the U.S. coastal wetland greenhouse gas inventory and conducted mangrove carbon stock assessments and trainings internationally.
