The San Francisco Estuary Wetlands Regional Monitoring Program (WRMP) held a webinar on October 15, 2024 to introduce the recently released Baylands Habitat Map 2020. This was the first part of a series to provide more information on the WRMP’s data products.

Presenters discussed the development and uses of the Baylands Habitat Map 2020, including developing innovative automated mapping methods that enable consistent and repeatable mapping, tracking progress towards regional restoration goals and detecting habitat change over time, identifying areas where management actions could have the greatest impact, and supporting field-based monitoring and research.
