Stream & Riparian Health
Supporting California's riverine and riparian resources
SFEI’s resilient landscapes program is a leader in stream and riparian scientific investigations. We consider these systems at a broad range of scales: from individual watersheds to larger regional perspectives. This approach gives us a unique ability to understand how streams and rivers relate to each other, to their connected wetlands, and to regional systems and estuaries like the San Francisco Bay. Our work across all of these scales involves process-based, integrated analyses of both stream and riparian function, bringing together a range of scientific expertise to understand these systems in a holistic science-first way.
