Planned maintenance for SFEI's online tools
This Friday morning (6/21/2019) from 6am to 9am, there will be planned internet downtime at SFEI to improve our organization's bandwidth and service capacity for the many things we do for you.

New Solutions: Traveling on Sunlight
SFEI secured a grant from the Bay Area Air Quality District to partially fund SFEI’s installation of a set of three Solar Powered Electric Car Charging stations at the front of our offices. These stations can charge up to four cars at a time.

SFEI and several agency partners recently completed a multi-year, EPA funded project called Flood Control 2.0. SFEI study cited in SF Chronicle news story about creosote pilings in the Bay
Filipa A. Ioannou's Chronicle article sounds an alert over the health risks posed by decaying creosote pilings in the Bay, with particular attention on the adverse effects on pacific herring, which she notes is a keystone species.

Lahontan Water Board adopts Regional EcoAtlas Tools
The Lahontan Water Board (Regional Water Board 6) has formally adopted EcoAtlas and the California Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM). This will enable the Water Board to visually track and assess the extent of project impacts on a watershed basis throughout the region.
