Background

Jennifer joined the Clean Water program at SFEI in 2023 as an environmental scientist. She received her B.S in Earth Sciences from UC Santa Cruz and went to work for the USGS Coastal & Marine Geology Team as a support scientist in the field, office and lab. She earned her Ph.D in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University. Her research focused on the fate and transport of emerging contaminants in aquatic systems impacted by septic systems. She is an accomplished mentor and science teacher, working with students of all ages.
