Martin is an Environmental Scientist in the Clean Water Program at SFEI. Martin has a BS and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia, where his dissertation focused on the metabolism of oyster reefs and macroalgal beds. Prior to joining SFEI Martin was a Delta Science Fellow and postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, where he measured water column metabolism in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
