Kara has worked at SFEI since June 2024 and manages projects with both the Clean Water and Resilient Landscapes programs. She has extensive experience working on interdisciplinary teams and leading projects with concurrent aims of ecological and historical resource benefits, climate change resilience, overall sustainability, and public benefit goals.  Kara joined SFEI after 14 years working with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, both with the National Park Service and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, where she managed ecological restoration projects and capital improvements. Kara also managed the park’s Stormwater Program and holds CESSWI, CPESC, and QSD/QSP stormwater certifications.
