Brooke is a Technology Analyst on the Data Services team at SFEI. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and her Master of Environmental Data Science (MEDS) from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara. Between her undergraduate and graduate studies, Brooke worked as an environmental educator in San Diego County, teaching K-12 students about their local watersheds and stormwater pollution prevention. As a graduate research assistant, she validated climate opinion data from press releases and created fact sheets for House representatives to better understand clean energy infrastructure and investments across states. She is particularly interested in using analytical tools to support open source environmental data through data visualization, governance, and communication for public accessibility and understanding.
