The Pulse of the Bay 2024: Contaminants of Emerging Concern
Abstract
The theme of the 2024 Pulse is "Contaminants of Emerging Concern." The 2013 edition of the Pulse was the first to focus on contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), with the goal of providing an overview of past RMP work, future plans, and a guide to the many chemicals being studied. A lot more has happened with RMP CECs work since 2013, with increased funding, successful collaborations, and advances in understanding, with far-reaching impacts. Given the wealth of information generated by the RMP since 2013, and the 2024 completion of a major update of the RMP CEC Strategy, it is once again an opportune time to summarize the state of San Francisco Bay CECs science and management in the 2024 edition of the Pulse.
