2024 Bird Egg Sampling and Analysis Plan
Abstract
This document details sampling and analysis plans associated with triennial monitoring of contaminants in bird egg tissue for the Regional Monitoring Program for Water Quality in San Francisco Bay (RMP). In 2024 staff at the USGS Western Ecological Research Center (USGS-WERC) will collect double-crested cormorant eggs for analysis of mercury, selenium, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), dioxins, furans, and legacy pesticides.
