Sneha Korat (she/her) joined SFEI as an Environmental Analyst in 2026, working with the Clean Water Program and Regional Monitoring Program. She earned her B.S. in Geosciences from UC San Diego and her M.S. in Geography with a specialization in Watershed Science from San Diego State University. Her master’s thesis focused on salinity-based stratification and hydrologic modeling in the Tijuana River Estuary. Through her graduate studies, Sneha developed expertise in estuarine water quality monitoring, GIS, and research analysis, collaborating closely with the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Tijuana Estuary Foundation. She also holds an undergraduate research background in marine and terrestrial geophysics. At SFEI, Sneha applies her technical expertise to support ongoing water quality monitoring and research initiatives.
