Dr. Noah Rudko is an Environmental Scientist for the Clean Water Program and Bay Regional Monitoring Program investigating contaminants of emerging concern. He primarily studies PFAS in stormwater in the San Francisco Bay and other regions of California. Dr. Rudko has expertise in developing insight into transport processes of nutrients and emerging contaminants in both urban and agricultural systems to recommend appropriate management strategies.

Dr. Rudko earned his B.S.E and M.S in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University. He earned his PhD in 2024 from Purdue University, where his work highlighted the hydroclimatic variables that influence nutrient sources and pathways in tile-drained watersheds, as well as the impact of agricultural conservation practices on water quality. Prior to joining SFEI in 2026, Dr. Rudko was a postdoc at the University of Arkansas where he led a project developing a quantitative database of PFAS in agricultural systems and conducted PFAS monitoring in rural streams of Northwest Arkansas.
