The South Bay shoals exhibit higher chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen, and pH levels than the channel, indicating localized high productivity, especially near the Oakland Airport. Future studies will refine nitrogen cycling understanding and investigate the moderating effect of turbidity on productivity, utilizing nutrient measurements and pH-productivity dynamics analysis.
