Estuarine beaches are a vital but often underutilized shoreline stabilization tool. In this session, we will explore how beaches—from oyster shell hash ridges to gravel berms—can attenuate waves, provide high-tide refuge for marsh wildlife, and offer resilient alternatives to riprap.
