Emma Russell leads sustainability and compliance initiatives at Canva, where she focuses on decarbonizing manufacturing and embedding circular economy principles into product design. She spearheaded Canva’s first supplier partnership to transition to renewable energy—including the company’s inaugural solar farm—setting a new benchmark for corporate climate action.

With over two decades of experience spanning environmental consulting and retail manufacturing, Emma combines technical and operational expertise with an understanding of business priorities to drive sustainability in global supply chains. Based in Berkeley, she is passionate about regeneration, conservation, and sustainable public infrastructure, and is an avid SF Bay swimmer. She holds a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University.
