Amit has been at his current position since 2016.  Before that, he was the maintenance manager at same facility for 4 years. Amit has been with the City of San Jose for almost 23 years. Prior to joining the workforce for wastewater facility, he worked for the Public Works department where he managed design and construction of variety of projects, including projects at the wastewater facility, sanitary and storm sewer collection system projects, various city streets, bridges projects and one of terminal buildings at San Jose International Airport.  He is a registered Civil Engineer in the State of California, LEED Accredited Professional, and has B.S and M.S degrees in Civil Engineering, with specialty in water and wastewater. Amit has served as the Chair of the Bay Area Clean Water Agencies’ Executive Board since 2020.
