October 6, 2009 - 2:00am to 10:00am

The RMP Annual Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Scottish Rite Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In 2009, we focused on new findings regarding sediment in the Bay. Researchers and managers discussed a number of topics including the change in suspended sediment loads into the Bay and the implications that this has on foodweb dynamics; whether the Bay is in an erosion or depositional regime; the results of the RMP coring project and the concentrations of contaminants that lie beneath the surface; the importance of dredged materials for re-use in the Bay; and the newly promulgated sediment quality objectives.
