Lisa Hunt is Program Manager/Senior Scientist for the San Francisco Bay Nutrient Management Strategy. Prior to joining SFEI, she was Director of California River Restoration Science for American Rivers, a national nonprofit, where she focused on habitat restoration, environmental flows, water quality, and water equity in the Sacramento and San Joaquin River watersheds. Her PhD research at UC Berkeley focused on evaluating impacts of agriculture on aquatic invertebrate communities of small streams in soybean production regions in South America. Lisa received a BS in Environmental Systems Engineering from the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Cornell University, an MS in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD from the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management at University of California, Berkeley (focus on aquatic ecology).
