Sienna graduated from Stanford in 2019 with a BS in environmental engineering. Her research background involves a variety of  projects related to sediment transport in San Francisco Bay, utilizing tools such as field data analysis, remote sensing, and modelling. For her honors thesis, Sienna advanced a three-dimensional sediment transport model focused on South San Francisco Bay in close collaboration with SFEI, Deltares, and USGS. After graduation, she spent a year in the Netherlands as an NAF-Fulbright fellow at TU Delft working with the country's water ministry to classify the morphological effects of a problematic river intervention. She's excited to be a part of SFEI's Clean Water program, where she works on developing a variety of hydrodynamic and biogeochemical models with the Nutrients team.
