| Alicia Gilbreath is an environmental analyst at the San Francisco Estuary Institute, where she splits her time between field-based monitoring and investigations and office-based data analysis, research and writing. Alicia earned a BA in Philosophy and BS in Psychology from UC Davis before developing an interest in environmental and water resources through whitewater rafting and fieldwork on the Cosumnes River floodplain. Ms. Gilbreath went on to receive her MLA with an emphasis in Environmental Planning from UC Berkeley in 2006, where her studies focused on river restoration and dam removal in California. She joined SFEI's Watersheds Program in 2006. Her primary research topics have included: stormwater runoff in a small urban tributary in Hayward, turbidity and sediment in the Alameda Creek watershed, and eradication of an invasive oyster species. |
