Near-total zinc (Zn) concentrations in water
in parts per billion (ppb) at 24 RMP stations sampled
in January, April, and August 1997. Note logarithmic
scale. Concentrations ranged from 0.34 to 77.57
ppb. The highest concentration was sampled at Sunnyvale
(C-1-3) in January and the lowest at Golden Gate
(BC20) in August. Average concentrations were highest
(53.90 ppb) in the Southern Sloughs in January and
lowest (1.51 ppb) in the Central Bay in August.
Twelve samples were above the 24-hour average WQO
for total zinc (saltwater 58 ppb, freshwater--hardness
dependent). |
