Development of New Chemical Models for Diazinon Replacements

The purpose of this project is to develop analytical methods to measure multiple pesticides at “environmentally relevant concentrations” (low ppt) in the San Francisco Estuary. The target pesticides for which new chemical methods are proposed include pyrethroids (including deltamethrin), carbamates (including carbaryl), imidacloprid, and pirperonyl butoxide. These pesticides were selected because they are the new replacements for diazinon.
