SETAC Regional Topic Session: Assessing Contaminant Effects in Multi-stress Ecosystems
SFEI scientist Thomas Jabusch will be co-chairing a regional topic session at the SETAC North America 33rd Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held November 11-15 in Long Beach, California. The regional topic session will be focusing on the assessment of pollutant effects in the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary. This session is expected to highlight the Bay-Delta as a case study for a multi-stress environment. Presentations are expected to highlight lessons learned from the Bay-Delta and other estuaries in the following areas (1) research advances in the diagnosis or prognosis of toxic effects in multi-stress environments, (2) integrated assessment of multiple stress responses in estuaries, and (3) implications for ecosystem management (case studies for applications).
