This is the most recent piece on Quiroste by Eric Simons, author of the recent book "Darwin slept here." It highlights the purpose, scope, players, and history of the Quiroste study. SFEI scientist Chuck Striplen is quoted in the article.

“[Quiroste] was a pivotal place in the history of all of California,” says Chuck Striplen, a Berkeley graduate student in Ecosystem Sciences who is one of the leaders of an ongoing project to study the Quiroste valley.
