The California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN) is a system designed to facilitate the integration and sharing of data collected by many different participants involved in the water and environmental resources of the State of California.

SFEI is one of four Regional Data Centers and provides data management and integration services to the geographic region of the San Francisco Bay-Delta and its watersheds. The largest dataset managed by SFEI is for the Regional Monitoring Program (RMP). RMP data stored in SFEI's SWAMP database will now also be available through the CEDEN interface.

CEDEN’s objectives are: (1) to incorporate the many diverse data sources, such as stormwater, agricultural waiver, and surface water ambient monitoring, available through the Regional Data Centers (RDC) into a standardized integrated data sharing network, (2) to provide direct access to monitoring data as a file download, and (3) to support question-driven information themes through the California Water Quality Monitoring Council's My Water Quality web portals.

Fact sheet summarizes the services provided by CEDEN, including data access, data collection and analysis tools, and data integration.
