Map Interpretation I

A good knowledge of basic map interpretation is a necessary skill for anyone attempting to create or use a Geographical Information System.

This guide to the interpretation and use of maps is adapted from the Sonoma State University Department of Geography course supplement, Map Interpretation, written by Bryan Baker in 1993. The guide is currently being used in the SSU class, Map, Air Photo, and Satellite Interpretation.
