Historical Ecology
Over the past decade, SFEI has developed an ongoing area of study in the emerging, multi-disciplinary field of Historical Ecology. Given the rapid and complex landscape changes of the past two centuries, the documentation of landscape ecological history has become an essential tool for understanding current conditions and the potential for restoration in most parts of the world.
